Well, maybe not rising from the *sea* as such. And not to make too grandiose a comparison, but her pose, the hair and the pattern made by the plant behind her have something botticelliesque about them. It certainly reminds me of "that" painting.

Critique welcome.

A well thought out composition with perfect control over depth of field giving the image a real 3 D feel. The subject is central in the picture and this is one case where breaking the 'rules has really worked. The natural light is well used as is the shadowing of the model with the natural light. The control of exposure and light is superb.
The hair is long and flowing and the grass behind her mirrors this effect. The platform raises the model and gives an almost angelic feel to the composition.
The simple unposed pose and the expression on the models face give the quality of innocence and the viewer is asked to consider what she is looking at.
The only 2 distractions in the picture are the very square frame to the upper right and the pot to the lower left. Thiese are very minor criticisms but slightly detract from this being a perfect capture.
An excellent piece of work and something I would have been happy to created.

Indeed, and it has a little bit of the last century mood inside, like it!
